Does socioeconomic status affect fruit and vegetable intake? Evidence from a cross-sectional analysis of the RaNCD Cohort

The purpose of this study is to investigate socioeconomic inequality in fruit and vegetable (F&V) intake contributing factors. Data 9981 participants from the recruitment phase Ravansar Non-Communicable Diseases (RaNCD) cohort were included final analysis. concentration index was calculated measure inequality. prevalence adequate F&V 55.8% 0.178, indicating that more people higher SES group are consuming enough F&V. Place residence, followed by SES, had greatest contribution west Iran. It suggested villagers poor be target for interventions increase access.
